Resolutionary!

Tue Jan 6, 2009, 6:04 AM
Ok. So it's a new year. And I can dig it. I've already made my resolutions and what not... which was only two. One: be more like myself around strangers of the opposite sex, and Tow: pass my phone number to one of them. Haven't really done either.
I was supposed to go to California for Christmas to spend time with my family who I haven't seen since I was sixteen, but I had a car accident on the way to the airport and it fucked my plans up to no end. Drag.
So I was stuck in Missouri, all my friends were gone, and I had to spend time with my naggy side of the family. Double Drag. I was looking forward to spending time with my mexican family, as they were looking forward to seeing me, and everybody loves that feeling.
So I had the most flavorless holiday session ever. But I suppose on the bright side, I got so bored I started making new little bits of art. And met new friends in this web-community, one of whom is extremely talented with a camera.
As for my newest work. Ever since The Rotunda, I had a bit of a stint in my small town as something of a visionary.. But when the town can fit in a shoe box.. It's not hard. But I loved the story with all my heart. Which is why I think I'm having such a hard time with my newest story. I want it to live up to its predecessor so badly it almost hurts.
Maybe I'll get the creative boost I need soon enough but until then, I'll be playing Super Nintendo, fucking with my webcam pictures, playing my deep-guitar, and trying to stay sane.

Journal History

I'm a writer first and foremost.... I just get REALLLLLY sidetracked.
I'm working on my first compilation novel entitled "Norma Lux".
I live in Pop(u)lar Bluff, Missouri, and am by NO MEANS a "hick" in fact I have a big distaste for them.
I have the tendency to be open about what I dig and don't dig, but I'm never a dick about it. And if you check out my favorites, you'll find I dig just about anything.
I'm squeamish, shy, and nervous about speaking in front of or meeting people, but I dig making new friends.
Apparently I use outdated words such as:
-Word
-Groovy
-Far Out
-Snap
-Dig
-Homeslice

But that never seems to get in the way.
I have never used Photoshop (you can tell) I'm poor so I just stick to MS Paint.
There are A LOT of snobby members to this site, but I have in the same respect found a bounty of cool people.
I'm in college, live on my own, and spend most of my time playing music and getting writers block.
Hope you dig my stuff, and you know I'll dig right back.
